Configure Security Monitoring Alerts
Security Monitoring Alerts allow users to configure security metric thresholds in their Security Center. Users define thresholds through chosen threat metric parameters; alerts and warnings are the two types of thresholds available.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Alert Threshold | A required value that triggers a dashboard notice when the evaluated metric exceeds the defined threshold. |
Warn Threshold | An optional value that triggers a dashboard notice when the evaluated metric exceeds the defined threshold. |
Recovery | An optional value that measures when the evaluated metric has returned to normal levels. |
Configure and update alert thresholds
Thresholds, calculated as a weighted moving average for a given metric, are customizable in your Auth0 Dashboard.
Go to Security > Security Center > Threat Monitoring and choose a metric chart.
Select the View Details icon in the top right corner.
Navigate to the Thresholds panel displayed underneath the detailed chart view of the chart and choose Create.
Name the Threshold alert and configure the following settings:
When the threshold should trigger a warning and when it should trigger an alert.
How long an alert should be considered healthy before it is marked as recovered.
Select Save.
Thresholds can also be updated or removed in the Expand View screen, and different thresholds on the same chart are behind the Threshold label carrot at the top right.
